Brew method

Two ways to brew. Pour-over is slow and worth it, the best way to taste our specialty beans. Portable espresso is for everywhere else: strong, rich coffee with no machine in sight.

For everyone still at it when the rest of the house is asleep.

In 2026 we started MidnightRoast for the students finishing one more chapter, the nurses on their third shift, the developers chasing a deadline. No storefront, no walk-in counter - just beans, roasted weekly and shipped to whoever needs a good coffee to push through the night.

The story of Coffee

A goat herder, a fever, a fruit nobody trusted yet.

Coffee starts, as the story goes, with a ninth-century herder in Ethiopia who noticed his goats dancing after eating red berries off a certain shrub. Monks dried the fruit, brewed the seed, and stayed up through prayers. By the 1500s it had crossed the Red Sea into Yemen, then Cairo, Istanbul, Venice - a drink that moved with trade routes and stayed awake with the people who drank it.
